N. Ireland Budget: SDLP Says no. clippings services - efficiency savings and increase in revenues if cover insufficiency of 4 billion pounds (eGov monitor)

The SDLP resulted in a new angle to budgetary negotiations stalled at Stormont, where DUP and Sinn Feinn are heads of the recorder on spending reductions.

While the Ireland North Finance Minister Sammy Wilson believes there is no other choice but to consider reductions but Sinn Feinn believes that they can negotiate a better deal with Westminster. Mr. Wilson thinks that represents "a total misunderstanding of how the process works.  Sinn Feinn wants the world oppose what they term "Tory cuts."

SDLP also doesn't cut and is the only party in Ireland n. trying to pass a budget of 4 years instead of the 1 year proposed by the Government of public services.

According to "Partnership and economic recovery" paper the SDLP, published earlier this week, the party wants to freeze the remuneration of the public sector for those who earn more than £ 31,500 and proposes reductions in salary for those who earn more than £ 80,000.

Party stated that the Assembly n. Ireland Government could provide up to nearly £ 2 billion in expenditure reductions and efficiency gains. The Party proposes to impose a new rate for the ATMs which, according to add £ 0.5 that billion and a further additional £ 2 billion would enter into capital received by Bank.
